Julia Baum is a psychologist from the Neurocognitive Psychology Lab at HU Berlin working on Project 08 with the aim to advance the integration of human and synthetic face processing. She investigates how semantic information and context influence face processing in the brain. Her research focuses on how the human cognitive system is influenced by information lacking credibility, such as person-related misinformation. She hopes that SCIoI’s interdisciplinary insights help to further understand biases in face processing and possibly help to protect against them.
