Ole studied artificial intelligence at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and psychology at the University of Tübingen. In AI, he worked on computational creativity and in psychology, he investigated attentional processes in binge-eating disorder using eye-tracking and EEG. At SCIoI, he joined the research group of Klaus Obermayer to work at the intersection of his backgrounds in Project 57, “Internal and External Visual Information Sampling using Eye-Movements and Overt Attention in Dynamic Scenes.” Ole’s doctoral project aims to use computational modelling to learn from human visual information sampling strategies, and to apply these findings to computer vision.
