Meet our GSEP fellows!
Five young researchers from across Africa have joined SCIoI this month for a fully funded fellowship
The Global South Exchange Program (GSEP) was initiated by Science of Intelligence in order to grant fully funded scientific fellowships to Master’s level students from across Africa who wish to gain research experience in a subject of their interest within our cluster. The research experience is intended to increase their chances of success when applying to a doctoral program in the Global North, as well as provide fellows with hands-on research experience in an interdisciplinary environment.
In collaboration with the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences South Africa (AIMS), we have selected the following five fellows:
- Juliana Marcos, Benin (Prof. Guillermo Gallego)
- Tatiana Ngoli, Cameroon (Prof. Alan Akbik)
- Arinze Folarin, Nigeria (Profs. Oliver Brock & Marc Toussaint)
- Emmanuel Ahenkan, Ghana (Prof. Klaus Obermayer)
- Kiprono Koech, Kenya (Prof. Olaf Hellwich)
These young researchers are now in Berlin and during their stay at SCIoI they will work on a project in their respective labs and attend relevant lectures and symposia, both at SCIoI and partner institutions, as well as take part in cultural and social activities.
Meet our five GSEP fellows here.
