Vanessa Hiess is a doctoral student at Technische Universität Berlin with a Einstein-Scholarship. Bevor joining the Team from Prof. Dr. Elke Weber and Prof. Dr. Eric Johnson at the Berlin/Brandenburg Climate Change Center, she worked as a student assistant for the innovation management, entrepreneurship and sustainability Masterprogramm from which she graduated herself. Vanessa has a background in political and public administration science and gained valuable experience in  higher education and research advocacy in Brussels and in the field of sustainability and transformation policy in Berlin. Vanessa’s research is interdisciplinary and at the interface of sociology, psychology, and political science. She is particularly interested in facilitating the climate transformation by understanding (un)sustainable decision-making processes in industry and policy.
