During his master studies in Computer Engineering at TU Berlin, Vincent began to specialize in Soft Robotics. He finished in 2014 with a master thesis on the “Selective Stiffening of Soft Actuators Based on Jamming”. In 2015, Vincent joined Oliver Brock’s Robotics and Biology Lab at Technische Universität Berlin as a PhD student. Here he researched novel sensor technologies for the soft RBO Hand 2. As part of SCIoI Project 17, “Dexterous and Sensorized Soft Robotic Hands” he worked on developing new and improved versions of the RBO Hand that will enable synthetic agents to interact with their environment in a safe and robust way.
